Data Partnership: Our Practices & Commitments
Our focus for this initiative is total community coverage. This requires us working collectively to map who is and isn’t being reached. This document outlines how we will handle data to meet that purpose.
Data Purpose:By sharing non-sensitive outreach data, we will work collectively to:
Identify Gaps: Pinpoint populations that haven't yet been reached by a support network.
Further Target Efforts:The ability to visualizecommunity-wide reach ensures efforts aren’t duplicative. This empowers each organization to strategically target efforts.
Data Minimization:We follow the principle of data minimization; we collect only the specific information necessary to build the map (e.g., addresses).
Exclusive & Narrow Use Case:Data will be used only to identify unserved populations.
No External Sharing:Information will not be sold or shared for marketing or any other purpose other than identifying unserved populations.
Additional Protective Layers: We take data privacy very seriously. We employ top industry-standard safeguards:
Aggregation & Obfuscation:Whenever possible, we blur data. Collectively shared maps will visualize activity at the neighborhood or block level rather than highlighting specific households, ensuring individual privacy.
Controlled Access: Access is strictly limited to authorized team members directly involved in the mapping project.
Secure Storage: We adhere to industry-standards to prevent unauthorized access.
Responsible Retention:We do not store sensitive identifiers indefinitely. Once a coverage analysis cycle is complete, identifiers are deleted or further de-identified.
